Alexander McCants Jr AKA Aly Gutta Mane became interested in music at the
age of eleven. Aly Gutta Mane grew up in Baltimore, Md under some harsh
circumstances. At a young age Aly Gutta Mane, his brother, and his sister
were removed from their home and became wards of the state of Maryland. Aly
Gutta Mane would bounce in and out of foster care until the age of fifteen.
Aly Gutta Mane had a hard time channeling his anger due to his living
situations and his drug addicted mother.
At one of the group homes where Aly Gutta Mane lived, he was
introduced to different music styles and developed an interest in music.
Aly Gutta Mane had a music teacher at this group home who taught him about
creating music. Aly Gutta Mane performed at the group home for staff and at
the group home talent shows. At the age of sixteen, Aly Gutta Mane went to
stay with his father and was no longer a ward of the state. Aly Gutta Mane
began to take music more seriously and began working with a local producer
named Satch. Aly Gutta Mane recorded his first album entitled “Killa
Spida” at a Toyz studio under the stage name A.T.G. Under the stage name
ATG, Aly Gutta Mane was chosen on two different occasions to do interviews
on 88.9 FM Morgan State Universities “Strictly Hip-Hop” radio
broadcast. Fans of “Strictly Hip- Hop” favored songs “Chidlife” and
“The Chosen” which landed Aly Gutta Mane the interviews on 88.9 FM.
Aly Gutta Mane is currently working on his third album with the help
of producers “Big G” of Tripple Phat Music and “Hood” which will be
released in 2011. Aly Gutta Mane and friend Big G create their own beats,
lyrics, videos, and artwork. Aly Gutta Mane feels his music is universal
with catchy hooks and tones.
