Bio

Artist Billy Ray Manuel (aka) Bambu, was born in Harlem, NY 1985. Both of his parents passed when he was only 12 years old. Bambu grew up to be a strong man who has always had a vision and puts it to work daily. Growing up he played basketball and obtained a National ranking. He played College basketball but dropped out and pursued a career in music. Since 2007, he has opened up for Plies, Pitbull, PBG, Baby Bash, Frankie J, Big Gemini, Twista and has worked with Bun B, Big Mike of the Ghetto Boys, and was on tour with Fat Joe. In 2013 Billy Ray aka Bambu, won a singles deal with Makaveli Music Group, with his song “Black Bandana.” He has a few mixtapes on DatPiff at www.datpiff.com/bambumixtape and some other great songs on www.reverbnation.com/therealbambu
