Bio
MIG Mr. I Got It New York has always been known to breed Hip Hop’s most
renowned artists. From the legendary Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z and Nas to
Fabolous, 50 Cent and Jadakiss, the Big Apple has left its mark on the
game. The next artist to come out of one of the world’s finest cities is
MIG. Born Christian Barber on March 7th, 1990 at Albert Einstein Hospital
in Co-Op City, New York, the lyrical genius had finally arrived into the
world. At a young age MIG’s mother moved them to downtown Yonkers, one of
New York’s most violent and poverty stricken neighborhoods. As a child
MIG and his family moved frequently to different residences around downtown
Yonkers. MIG always had a love for music and realized he wanted to become a
rapper at the age of 10. “I think my strongest influences were those who
came from the same hood as me, Yonkers. Mary J. Blige, the Lox and DMX,”
MIG said. He recalls Reasonable Doubt and Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My
Blood as the first tapes he played repeatedly on his Walkman.
