Bio

Mahaitia (born Mahaitia Samoi Blalock) was born on May 13th, 1992 in Stockton, CA. During birth, she suffered a spinal cord injury, which caused her right arm and hand unable to move. She had to wear a cast on her arm and/or wrist up until a few months later. Her arm and hand started to gain mobility, therefore, the cast came off. Few years later she was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, a form of autistic disorder.
However at a very young age, music began to become a big part of Mahaitia's life, and started at around age 3, she started developing talents involving music. She started dancing, then began singing at age 5. She also started writing at age 14, then recorded her first song at age 17.
