ShalekiahMonique began her career at the age of 4. she has performed in various venues such as the world famous Apollo Theather, The Washington National Cathedral, Malik Yoba's Cafe, the Seattle National Black Theatre as well as various venues throughout the Metropolitian Nyc area.Shalekiah was given the opportunity to write and perform the hook for Kool and the Gang's "party Right" which you can view on you tube.Voted one of the 7 most powerful black women along with Mary J Blige,shalekiah shared "Dreams" with 50 young girls in the hopes of inspiring them to think on another level. Her first CD Self entitled ShalekiahMonique, The Dreams EP was released in July, 2009 with songs of inspiration for young people who still "dream".
