Who is FlyMarte’? is the question and buzz on the urban streets of New
York City. FlyMarte’ is a self -taught musician who encompasses a feel
good recipe that has the music industry buzzing now. Born Louis Marte’
and raised on Harlem’s upper west side of New York. FlyMarte’ dove
himself into and embraced the electric collage of cultures that his hood
surrounded him with. Strongly influenced by artist such as Marvin Gaye,
The Brothers Johnson, Hector Lavoe, The Isley Brothers, Tupac Shakur, Nas,
The Notorious B.I.G., LL Cool J, Steely Dan, The Fania AllStars and many
other great acts that paved the way for him to create his musical platform.
FlyMarte’s own joy, pleasure and pain help craft and mold the tales he
so vividly writes about. FlyMarte’ captures the element of everyday
living. His soulful spirit, day-to-day struggle and experience make him a
voice for those that have a need to be heard. Along with the grit comes a
romantic and introspective side that he reserves for the ladies. His
melodic messages emphasize and capture the essence of the beauty and power
of the word woman. His musical journey started as a producer with
accredited work for artist under Violator management and Penalty
Recordings. Writing, producing and arranging has given FlyMarte’ the
concrete foundation that he utilizes in his song structure. FlyMarte’s
genius comes from the creation of nothing into something as well as the
