Bio
Rory Poplion was born in New Orleans, LA on July 23, 1986. Rory goes by the
rap name Konfidenze but he is commonly called Konfo. Konfo brings a unique
and very different style to the typical New Orleans music scene and touches
and collabs with every genre. He grew up listening to all types of music.
His main musical influences are: Coldplay, Maroon 5, Nas, Bob Marley, and
Lupe Fiasco. He started his musical career in April of 2006 at the age of
19 to have something to do while New Orleans was rebuilding from Hurricane
Katrina.
He started with a hip-hop group called Garage Band in 2006 and later
dropped a mixtape. From the fall of 2007 to summer of 2008 he performed
with a local rock band called “Echo Theory.” Not long after
collaborating with alternative bands he started his own alternative group
called "Clouded Concept." Clouded Concept consisted of a bass guitarist
Brandon Howard and drummer "panama.”
Konfo’s diversity stretched to a larger crowd which later encouraged
Konfo to drop his first solo mixtape; “Quantum Leap” was released in
the summer of 2008. The next mixtape titled “the Best of Konfo,” was
made available for download in June of 2009.
Konfo then collabed with local hip hop duo TNC for a mixtape labeled "Next
Generation." Shortly after dropping that cd; two an Rmonths later he
dropped
