Lil Bug AKA BU was born Makwan Scroggins in Hope, Arkansas, April 10 1986.
Raised in the poverty of Nashville Ar, Living with his mother and
grandparents due to his mothers strong school and work ethic, Bu much like
most southern rap artist grew up around gangs, guns, and drugs while coming
he notice that his neighborhood was a constant recycle of drug dealing and
prison Bu began Rapping when his older brother(Big Loc) and uncle
(Southside Reggie) made a major impact on the hood in the mid 90's droppin
a smashing album titled (tennishoe pimpster).Already impressed by many
great Artist such as 2 pac,,DR.Dre,UGK,Snoop,Zero,Bone Thugs and many
others. Bu and and present partner Pre only 12 and15 began recording
freestyles on on tapes . Pre moved away due to job choir and Bu joined
teams with long time friend and family member Poo Tang (Orlando White)
forming the rap group Solja Boys and Label Untamed Records . Lil Bug and
Pooh quickly began building a buzz recording Smash hits on first Solja Boys
Cd like "Its So Gutta" (recorded at Dirty Lyfe Records) and "You Might
Catch Us" (recorded by Russel Cain), but the Solja boys would be put on
hold due to Pooh Tangs run in wit law enforcements. Bu continued his rap
career making Jams with a host of local Artist (Big Loc, Southside Reggie,
Project, Lil Yo, Dirk Di, Swang, Dirty Blac, DVB, and a host of others). Bu
Moved away to PVU in 2004 to attend Bus. College were he would destroy
freestyle battles on the yard or just rapping to friends. While in college
he got more interested in the production part of music. After a year passed
in 2005 he moved back to Arkansas with the title Artist/Producer teaming
back up with Locals making hit after hit from his moms back room. BU, Cel
Carlone (manager), Big Loc, and Swang took a trip to perform in New York
City a major trip for local Country boys) and totally amazed the crowd.
Early 2006 Bu and Pre reconnected to drop first distribute album
(cdbaby.net) titled Lil Bug and Pre kind of original but expressed the
content of the cd original with all 15 track produced and recorded by Lil
Bug. The Album really cought a lot of people ears and gained Radio play on
Little Rock AR Power station 92.3 pump it or dumb it the hit single nympho
was pumped and more people began requesting BU's music.
