Bio
Life is a journey, but I still have to make daily sprints. That’s the
motto that Chez lives by these days. I was birth in St. Ann the garden
parish of Jamaica. Hence why my music is influenced by all genres but
mostly by Reggae.
“Escape To Last Man Peak” is the name of my upcoming EP album . The
first single “Wine For Me” is slated for a late March 2010. The single
features Lurch and Kritical. It’s an upbeat dancehall catchy track for
the summer. This single will be followed by 360 degrees where in this song
we erase the barriers of Reggae and Reggaeton and merge them into something
special. Other songs to watch for are “Set we Free” and the HIV song.
Album will be available through CD baby and itunes soon. Also I’m on
Myspace (www.myspace.com/chezreggaez), Twitter (twitter.com/Cheesescape ),
Facebook (www.facebook.com/people/Lance-Hopkins) and Reverbnation
(http://www.reverbnation.com/chezescape ). As for promoting on the radio
Jango radio will be playing my song on the internet by late March 2010.
Music is powerful, therefore I’m aware the potential it has. My cousin
Lurch is aware of this fact also, so that’s when we formed Chez and Lurch
productions back in 2006 we set out to set a higher standard musically. To
accomplish making of this EP album was not easy. Although I have been
through lots of struggles in my life this one was like no other though. It
has made me appreciate and garner even more respect for past artists such
as the Wailers and Jimmy Cliff. They struggle to get their music
internationally accepted. So hopefully this Album “Escape To Last Man
Peak” will create a little buzz and will enable us to take our next
step.
“In arce sitam quis” I flow one of my tracks meaning a city set up on a
hill cannot be hidden. Therefore what’s for you will be for you and your
little candle light cannot be hidden. The struggles I have endured will let
me appreciate the success.
