Biography
Thought provoking lyrics sprinkled over head thrusting beats create a Hip
Hop sound that is reminiscent of its early days. The early 90's are long
gone but Hip Hop heads still drift off in nostalgia. Dream no more as Stats
welcomes listeners to join him in his new musical creation In My Own World.
Stats latest CD In My Own World invites listeners to hear his thoughts on
the miseducation of blacks, medias influence on the youth, and the lack of
hope in the inner cities. Stats doesn't shy away from speaking on topics
that other emcees fail or don't bother to discuss. Along with tackling
social issues he still knows how to throw a party. With tracks like "We in
Here" and "I Got What You Want" Stats will keep party goers stampeding the
dance floor. " I always try to keep a balance of songs because I'm not
feeling mellow all the time neither do I feel like waking up with a hoarse
voice. So the music mirrors my personality and whats going on in my world."
Unlike other artists who tell their story how they got to the top. STATS
shows you how he is grinding to make a name for himself in Hip Hop music.
To go along with his new album, STATS created ReelFootageTV. This web
series shows the struggles of an up and coming artist breaking in to the
business. “You always see people at the top and you wonder how they got
there. Well I thought it would be great for people to see what an artist
goes through because it’s not a fairy tale story.”
Stats has opened for major rap recording artist V.I.C. STATS
released his sophmore EP iGRIND off his label Real Image Entertainment on
August 27th 2010. The album sold out twice at Keith Tapes & CD's. His
single "iLOVE" won the "Keep it or Sweep it" contest on North Carolina's
biggest radio station Power 98fm in Charlotte.
In addition to his new album and web series, STATS is taking his
entrepreneur savvy to the clothing industry. He is gearing up to launch a
clothing line in 2012.
